Ashrafieh 1139 is a heritage building located next to the Saint Nicolas garden. This iconic yellow building is part of a heritage cluster containing over 30 heritage buildings belonging to the 1860-1930 period and one of the most preserved historical neighborhoods in Beirut.
With the funds gathered from “The Houses of Beirut” book and posters project, BHI renovated the envelope of this heritage building: Facade restoration, wooden doors, windows, shutters and arches, as well as the roof’s waterproofing.
